I/DDs are conditions that affect a person’s physical, learning, or emotional development. These disabilities often appear before age 22 and last a person’s entire life.
Examples of I/DD include mild to severe intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, or a physical impairment such as cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy.
To find out if someone has an I/DD, a professional (such as a doctor or a therapist) needs to do a full assessment.
Additionally, a person must have at least three functional limitations in any of the seven life areas to be diagnosed with an I/DD:
We offer a variety of support, services, and resources for people with I/DDs.
Once the intake is completed, you will be assigned a supports coordinator. They will help coordinate services and connect you with other available resources.
